Top 5 Tools Apps on Android in Europe, Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the top tools apps on the Android platform in Europe demonstrated varied performance metrics. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into downloads, revenue, and active user trends for five leading applications.

Free VPN Super™ -Fast & Secure experienced a notable rise in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $286 and peaking at $507 by the end of June. Its weekly downloads fluctuated, beginning at 728K and ending at around 506K, while weekly active users grew significantly from 5.4M to 11.4M.

The QR & Barcode Scanner maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 500K downloads weekly. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at 22.9M and closing the quarter at 21.7M.

For VPN - fast proxy + secure, weekly revenue reached a high of $122 in mid-June, while downloads showed a downward trend from 487K to 256K. Active users also decreased from 12.4M to 9.4M over the quarter.

Samsung Smart Switch Mobile witnessed a gradual increase in downloads, ending the quarter at nearly 400K. Active users saw a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 2.5M.

Lastly, Google Translate maintained a steady download figure of around 290K weekly. Active users decreased from 42.7M at the start of the quarter to about 40.3M.
